Siren Rewards is a mobile app that provides exclusive discounts to frontline workers such as police officers, medical staff, firefighters, and other frontline workers in Nova Scotia & New Brunswick. The app connects these workers with local businesses offering special deals as a way of saying thank you.

Siren Rewards is designed for a wide range of frontline and essential workers, all admin staff, including:

• Healthcare professionals (e.g., nurses, doctors)

• First responders (e.g., firefighters, police officers, paramedics)

• Military personnel

• Teachers 

 Currently, when you want to access a discount, the business offering the discount may ask for proof of employment. This can be done by providing one of the following:

• A photo of your work ID badge showing your name and position.
   
• An official document or email confirming your role as an essential worker in one of our categories.

Businesses can join Siren Rewards by signing up through our website or contacting us directly. There’s an annual fee,  a portion of every business listing will be donated to the IWK Foundation. 

Businesses will be featured on the app, where users can easily find them based on location and services offered. 

Discounts vary depending on the business. Offers can include percentage discounts, buy-one-get-one-free deals, or special promotions exclusive to essential workers. 

We are actively working on introducing a secure virtual Siren Rewards pass and physical membership card. 

Until February 2026, these passes will be free for all verified members who show proof to businesses that they work in the required field. After that, a minimal annual fee of $50 will be introduced to help expand the program and secure more exclusive discounts for our members.

A portion of every membership fee will be donated to the IWK Foundation, ensuring that your participation continues to give back to their great work. 

Once you download the app, you can search by category (e.g., restaurants, retail stores, service providers) or use your location to find nearby businesses offering deals.

Currently, Siren Rewards will launch in Nova Scotia & New Brunswick, but there are plans to expand to other regions in the future. Stay tuned for updates. 

Non-essential workers can still access the app and view businesses, but they won’t be eligible for essential worker discounts. However, businesses may still offer general promotions for all customers. 

Siren Rewards uses industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect user data. Your information will never be shared with third parties without your consent.
